From The President
Welcome to the Kern Law Enforcement Association (Kern LEA) website. I would first like to thank you for checking out our page. My name is David Kessler and I am the Kern LEA's president.
The Kern LEA was founded in 1974 to protect the rights and collective bargaining interest of all of Kern County's Deputy Sheriffs and District Attorney Investigators.
Kern LEA represents over 540 members throughout Kern County. Our members are Kern County Sheriff Sergeants, Senior Deputies, and Deputies as well as Kern County District Attorney's Office Investigators.
Kern LEA is ever changing and evolving to try and meet the needs of our members and the communities we serve. We have a very involved and strong Board of Directors for 2015. Our goal is to represent each of our members to the best of our abilities.
Kern LEA is very active in our community. We donate thousands of dollars every year to a variety of worthwhile charities.
The Kern LEA Banquet Hall is available for rental by the public. Your all inclusive rental fee entitles you to the full use of the spacious dining/banquet hall; bridal suite area; full bar and bartender; full kitchen; large outdoor patio; beautifully landscaped backyard park; and large arbor (perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony).
KLEA's large property and all-in-one set up allows you to have your wedding and reception all at one location.
All Kern LEA members are reminded that we hold a monthly Board of Director Meeting at 6:00 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month at our banquet/meeting hall, 3417 Pegasus Drive, across from the Post Office. The meetings are open to all Kern LEA members (no children or spouses at meetings). Food and drinks are provided at each Board of Directors meeting.
